Originally designed in the 1970s, Pragati Maidan has been completely redeveloped. The new Bharat Mandapam, inaugurated in 2023, is a state-of-the-art convention centre with a capacity for 7,000 delegates. It became globally famous as the venue for India's G20 Presidency Summit.
