Chhatarpur Temple, Delhi

Chhatarpur Temple is one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in Delhi. This temple is dedicated to Mata Katyayani and is famous for its grand architecture.

The temple complex is built of marble and sandstone, reflecting the beautiful blend of South and North Indian architecture.

Chhatarpur Temple was built by Sant Baba Nagpal Ji in 1974. Lakhs of devotees visit the temple during Navratri.

This is a multi-part temple visit: agree which shrine or prayer programme you want to attend before moving through the complex. A first visit is easier with a light bag, a clearly agreed meeting point and enough time to collect shoes and return to transport. A festival visit needs a different crowd and pickup plan from an ordinary sightseeing stop.
